Director Receives University Honour

Introducing our patron Adam Hart Davis.adam_hart_davis

"Their consistent, enthusiastic and imaginative promotion at all levels in schools must have made at least as great a contribution to young people as all the BBC broadcasts on engineering. They may be small, they may be young,
but my goodness they are making a difference."

National Science and Engineering Week Grant Schemes

The Small Grant Scheme for Schools, funded by BIS (Department for Business Innovation and Skills), is available to schools with a high proportion of pupils from minority ethnic backgrounds, or a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals, or schools in a remote or rural location.

The National Science and Engineering Week Grant Scheme for Scotland, funded by the Scottish Government is open to any organisation in Scotland.

The National Science and Engineering Week Grant Scheme for Wales, funded by the Welsh Assembly Government is open to any organisation in Wales.

All of these grant schemes have a very simple application procedure and few restrictions on what you can spend the money on, so all you need is an idea for an event or activity to run during the week and the enthusiasm to get it off the ground. The deadline for applications is the 9th November 2009
