We are delighted to announce that science made simple‘s founding director, the fabulous Wendy Sadler, has been named a finalist for the Leading Wales Awards in the category of ‘Leadership in Social Enterprise’.

The interview panel is meeting tomorrow, and Wendy and Becky Holmes (who nominated Wendy for the award) are preparing to discuss Wendy’s leadership of science made simple.

The science made simple team is made up of a wonderful group of people, passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Wendy makes sure that the whole team keeps up to date with the latest science news and communication techniques.

She invests heavily in training for all staff members, to ensure science made simple remains at the forefront of science communication in this country (and increasingly other countries!)

Wendy said; “It means so much to be short listed for this award. Social enterprises are a vital part of the Welsh economy, and our mission to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers plays an important part in building a positive future for young people.”

The winners will be announced at the lunchtime awards ceremony, which will take place at the Hilton Cardiff on Thursday 4th June at which Rachel Clacher, Founder and Director of Moneypenny will be the guest speaker.
