science made simple return to Malta!
After last years success at the Malta Science Festival, science made simple's James and Becky were invited back by popular demand for this years festival at the end of October.
The festival, organised by the Malta Council of Science and Technology, was once again bursting with exciting exhibits and inspiring shows all about science.
The pair brought some of science made simple's favourite shows, ensuring something for everyone.
Throughout the week James and Becky enthralled audiences with our seat of nails, rockets made from film canisters and one of our favourite demos, a Vinyl Killer, a record player shaped like a VW van than literally drives around a record. They also took the opportunity to give them a blast of Welsh favourite Tom Jones!
This year the Maltese weather tested the duo, with torrential rain battering down on the performance tent, but even this didn’t dampen the festival-goers’ enthusiasm. People came to the festival from all corners of the mediterranean island, and the pair reached a staggering 9000 people throughout the week.
Becky said: "It's so exciting to be back at the Malta Science Festival! We're really keen to show them the science behind everyday things, and to highlight the range of opportunities for scientific work and study both in Malta and further afield"
