Wendy appointed to Science Advisory Council for Wales

Our director Wendy has added another feather to her cap with her appointment to the Science Advisory Council to Wales.

This is a prestigious appointment as the committee is charged with reporting and providing advice to the Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales, Prof. Harries, on a full range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics issues.

Lesley Griffiths, Deputy Minister for Science, Innovation and Skills, has welcomed the appointments.

“Science and technology are key subjects with a vital role to play in developing and building the future economy and prosperity of Wales. This new independent Advisory Council will provide expert guidance and advice to help us achieve our vision.

Wendy joins a group of distinguished experts including President of Cardiff University and Nobel Laureate Professor Sir Martin Evans and five Fellows of the Royal Society.

Lesley Griffiths added:

“I would like to express my gratitude to the distinguished panel of prominent and acknowledged experts who have agreed to serve on the new Science Advisory Council for Wales.”

The appointment of the Science Advisory Council is a great opportunity for science in Wales and science made simple is delighted to be at the forefront of this new venture.
