New Maths Shows for 2010
We are really pleased to be working with the Welsh Institute of Mathematical and Computational Sciences to develop two brand new maths shows for secondary schools, thanks to funding for the EPSRC.
The shows will reveal some real life applications of maths and aim to engage and excite pupils about the maths around them.
Mathsapps will be aimed at Key Stage 3 and will look at a range of careers involving maths and give pupils the chance to watch some films of people that use maths in their jobs in ways they might not expect.
I've Got Your Number will be aimed at Key Stage 4 and will be a gameshow with a difference. The show will give pupils the chance to win points by
solving problems about statistics and probability in everyday life.
Both shows will be available to book from February 2011.
