How do you make a saxophone from a drinking straw?

  • Squash one end so it is flat.
  • Cut the corners off to make a pointy end.
  • Blow into the straw.
  • Move your lips around until you get a noise.

When you get really good, make some holes in the straw and play beautiful music.

When you blow, the end of the straw vibrates like a saxophone reed. This makes the air inside the straw move back and forth creating a buzzing noise.
