Using social media to communicate your research

Delegates will explore the benefits and pitfalls of the three main platforms: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. All have their own strengths and opportunities and developing a professional social media strategy using the right platform is essential to raise the profile of your career and your work.

Depending on the messages you have and the audience you want to reach, each platform will offer different options. For some,even finding time to write¬†is a barrier, so our structured ‘blog sprint’ helps delegates to produce a short written piece with suitable images and cross-links in a supportive environment; all by the end of the session.

Video content is shared much more frequently than written articles, so we provide the tools, guidance and atmosphere where delegates can create short engaging videos for social media. We provide examples and discuss what gets shared the most and why.
